Nearnung Primary School was chosen as the new school name following community consultation. Nearnung (pronounced nee-a-noong) is a Bunurong word meaning black cockatoo. We used Tarneit Missen House Primary School as an interim name while the school was being built and established.
Karwan Primary School is located at 455 Bethany Road, Tarneit and is run by Principal Ashley Craig. Ashley has taught at Broadmeadows Primary School and Altona Primary School. Before moving to Karwan Primary School, he was principal at Seaholme Primary School. Ashley is proud to be the foundation principal of this school and is excited to establish a community-centred school built to help students to grow into global citizens.
Karwan Primary School was chosen as the new school name following community consultation. ‘Karwan’ (pronounced kar-wan) is a Bunurong word referring to the nankeen kestrel. We used Riverdale East Primary School as an interim name while the school was being built and established.
