Cost of living support

With the cost of living rising, families are paying more for basic necessities. That’s why the Victorian government has been working to save families money across the board.

Free kinder for three and four year olds has been saving families up to $2,500 per child every year meaning more than 28,000 Victorians can return to work, including almost 26,600 of which are women.

All children starting free Three-Year-Old Kindergarten in 2023 and 2024 will be eligible to receive a Kinder Kit , helping them develop their love of learning at home as well as kinder.These kits have great books, toys and activities to help them learn through play.

A nation-leading $23 million initiative will soon provide free pads and tampons to women and girls in up to 700 public places across Victoria. Every person deserves dignity and free access to sanitary products is helping make that possible.
